Raised in the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Arizona, he began making music at a young age. He started on drums and played rock music in local bands until he discovered electronic music in the early 2010's. He was introduced to Drum and Bass at the Electric Daisy Carnival when he stumbled upon the "bassPOD" stage, and he made up his mind that he would eventually make DnB. Fast forward a decade, and he is finally accomplishing his dream of producing, mixing, and mastering his own Drum and Bass music. 

His work spans a wide range of subgenres within DnB, and his tracks are deep, meaningful, and melodic. His goal is to make music that gets stuck in your head, music that you put on your favorite playlist and run on repeat. Expect many new creative works from the budding independent artist now known as "Mala'kai."
